Miriam Halahmy is a poet, novelist, short story writer,
workshop facilitator, editor, and writing mentor.
As one of the invited artists taking part in the 2006 Bob and Roberta Smith
Brick Lane Gallery Peace Camp, Miriam created the 'Wall for Peace' by asking
participants and visitors were asked to write their own thoughts on peace
and post them on the Gallery wall (Wednesday 20 December, 2006) .

She has been a Writing Mentor for the Medical Foundation for the Victims
of Torture, and she is a member of the Society of Authors, English PEN, British
SCBWI for children's writers, Highgate Poets, and Lapidus. Most recently,
Miriam taught an insightful workshop Turning Memoir into Fiction at
the 2010 Jewish Book Festival (10 a.m. March 5th ,2010 at the Royal National
Hotel).
